The home screen is the first place our users will be brought to upon opening the app. From there the user will be able to select several other screens to navigate to including: settings, mood journal, resources, and the information screen.
The mood journal allows the users to input their mood for the day using a sliding scale from 1 - 10 with short descriptors for each number. The user will also be able to describe their day in one word, the best thing in their day, and the worst thing in their day. After each has been answered the user will hit the submit button on the bottom of the journal screen where they will be redirected to their stats page.
On this page they can scroll through the database of all of their entries and their best days and their mood descriptors for each day. This screen also tracks if the user has had more good or bad days, and if the user has had more bad days a link to the resources page appears at the bottom of the page for more ease in assisting the user to get the help they may require. When hitting the back arrow from this stats screen the user is taken back to the home page.
The resources screen has numerous links that the user can click on to be redirected to in order to further themselves on the path to seeking help. These links include
All of these resources are either places where individuals can seek low-to-no-cost therapy, counseling, support, and more.
The information screen tells the users about the creators of MyMind and offers a disclaimer stating that the creators are NOT HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, but rather that we are just concerned citizens who care about the current state of mental health. This screen also provides a run down of how the app works and how it is intended to be used.
The settings screen allows the user to choose their own color scheme to make the app more their own, and makes it feel a little more personal. The user also has the ability to set alarm reminders that can help to keep them consistent with their journal entries. There is also the ability to delete all prior entries that the user made from that data base, and when they click this they are taken to the stats screen to show that they no longer have any data in their journal.
